The 40-pint Soleus Air dehumidifier (model CFM-40) removes unwanted moisture from the air to create a more comfortable environment in your home or office. BT Denyer I installed this unit in my basement about 8 months ago and has been working perfectly ever since. Things I noticed: if the power fails, the unit will not automatically switched back (like some other units do.) If you want the continuous drainage (which I recommend) over a snake, you need a plastic disc drill next station. I would have designed a connector that is replaceable, but did not expect. Anyway, once you punch the quarter-size disk is forever. If you choose the continuous drainage feature, you must get a hose with an internal diameter of 15 mm (0.59 "or slightly more than half an inch.) I went to the local DIY center and found some clear hoses worked well. The unit can operate up to 2 degrees C (36 degrees F) that will be great for continuous operation in the garage to keep tools from rusting fan has three settings: Med, High and calm. "Quiet" is very quiet, and able to function well in a bedroom. Although it does not heat the room as it heats up depends on the humidity setting. Four settings: the level humidity (humidstat) can be set to "continuous dehumidification" (which is standard), 50%, 60% and 70%. The blower continues to run, but the dehumidification processor will turn off when it reaches the selected humidity. Cool. I think it is because the fan will just blow room temperature air. A full drainage tank will stop the unit and illuminate a "full" indicator. The unit is not as heavy - maybe for some, but not as heavy as some make it sound. It is 30.8 pounds. Following the instructions: You are at least 21 inches (8 cm) of free space need before, behind and sideways blowing air from the top of the device, so you will need to ensure that it is also clear. There are blinds to move the air upwards of 45 degrees or almost to straighten. Justin Wolf works well I bought this dehumidifier for use primarily underground, but I wanted a quiet enough to use around the bottom, if necessary. And, boy, this thing quiet. My refrigerator is higher I also have a Feddersen 45 pints and a whirlpool 65 pint noise maker. The Feddersen (Maytag) was the quiet champ until I purchased the Soleus Air CFM-40E. The hot tub away an incredible amount of water, but can Upstairs heard when you go in the basement. So it is only when necessary. The Soleus Air is so quiet that I go to the basement stairs and you visually check whether the device is turned on. Can not say that for many dehumidifiers. My only complaint is that the fan is always on, even if it has reached the set humidity. This prevents short cycles make the second, off for 2 minutes for 2 minutes or so, but I think that prevents an Energy Star certification. With 2.9 amps draw significantly less than the 5.6 amps Feddersen and spa is 7.9 amps. The Soleus Air works fine (so far) in the spring when it is cool, but damp as the weather this week. Here in Wisconsin it is in the 60s, but rainy, so the house is damp. Running central air is not necessary because the house warm, so I use a dehumidifier, making the house seem less sticky. I would recommend the Soleus Air CFM-40E for anyone with a small, quiet, relatively easy, medium capacity (40pint).
