By Desmond Lee I purchased this product from Babies RUS promotion 20% discount and gift certificates. However, up to now the price of this unit filters (although cheaper at Amazon with Amex discount on the wish list). PROS: This unit is quiet (about setting quiet fog) has humidifying a large area, and has a convenient setup moisture / reading, not to mention a large tank 4gallon. So yes, he does his job, as is supposed. CONS: and this is a big con job. Have you ever wondered why this 4-liter humidifier is ~ $ 70 a gallon 1-2 silent fog thoughts are about the same price? It works well when you know the trick with N Neely I bought this as a replacement for Hamilton Beach model I had in years. I learned the trick to keep it from getting stinky .... Let the tank runs out of water, but keep the car running. It dries the filter. The filter is smelly when it is constantly wet. Because we work during the day, this is not a problem. I fill the tank half full at bedtime and then ignore it. From 10:00 the next morning, the tank will be empty and the fan to dry the filter until you fill the tank again the next evening. Of course it's all fine and dandy in the beginning ... I have used this humidifier for 2 seasons (totaling about 7 months and have to replace the CAP and gasket 3 times. The new CAP, it is only sent still leaking on the floor, so the whole thing pointless I give up! And to top it all, if he did a great job, I had to move the filter every 10 days or more (not every 3 months since they announced) to replace. My friend on the street with the humidifier itself has the same problem. After a week or two, he begins to brown and smelly.
