I got the penguin humidifier Muench one week ago after researching multiple brands, some expensive, filters, big, hot, etc. And I read reviews about the leak or break on this, and basically there is any complaint about the almost every brand out there - always some problems. (! And the fact that it is ridiculously adorable) So, it costs $ 30 seemed to cover what I needed: something that was not expensive, not too big and bulky, smaller reservoir so more fresh water through the (and less water sitting around getting ookey) and would add humidity where ever it is "was published almost nonstop for a week, sometimes less coverage, or when we were out, and it worked perfectly. The tank body, even when running on a high, has lasted at least 16 hours. I had no problems with white dust on everything like my old-fashioned gigantic noisy one (I use tap water) and do not spray water droplets in the fog either. It's certainly made a difference running at night in the bedroom - no noses and throats feeling 'dry as dust' in the AM. The penguin has a small footprint, about 9 "in diameter and 12.75" high. It runs almost silently, but it makes a noise and dripping sounds really like our tabletop fountain. The sound is pleasant during the day but wore on me during the night, I was not accustomed to the sound and I kept thinking it's leaking when it was not so now I have to run for a while before going to bed and all sleeping much better. Things to keep in mind ... opening of the tank that are full, there is a screw cap with a valve spring (as is the bottom of your coffee basket). There must be a silicone ring that fits on top of the lid. Our ring was inside the opening, and once it was clear-ish could be easily lost. The ring can cause the cap to leak if not seated properly and the lid should be tightened easily. When completed and corrected (there's even a little handle to carry it) just a little off the escape valve spring. Make sure nothing is blocking the pressure valve spring (not filled) and the flap is not folded. Use only cold water in the tank, the water boils and expect it to room temperature before using. The use of hot water would probably cause this plastic to crackle and break the body must sit directly on the "roof" or you can drop on the side a bit. We had absolutely no problem with this little girl, and if I do I'll update my ad. It has a good on-off rocker in his "left buttock.
