By Jean-Christophe Gourribon I'm surprised with all the negative reviews. We bought one for my oldest daughter last year (end 2006), as he had croup and it worked very well. A few months ago, my youngest daughter had a cold and cough at the same time as my eldest son went back to half now. We do not have such problems (although often not in use, we forget to take the water ... and water is recommended to be) make the area wet enough (windows are wet in the morning) the best for cold / cough in Instead of dry air. Yes, it does leave a lot of noise when running, but no problems for my two girls to feel or stay home. And yes, we had the first time we used it as the water problem there is not enough right again. But after that I never had a problem again ... After using for 4 months with my newborn, I threw it. It is extremely loud and the noise varies unpredictably. It vibrates so images depend on the other side of the wall to vibrate. By Truth Seeker I've had this unit for five months and has fallen into the cartridge and hold it on 12 each month to keep it clean. Despite these efforts, he developed a movie-pink, with black mold that can smell when operating'm trouble breathing. The affected area is impossible to reach for cleaning, even with air. My unit also has flooded twice in the destruction of everything in my dresser. I contacted the unit does Kaz. They said they would replace it, but I would be out of a drive for 6-8 weeks and I have to pay shipping. They will not substitute another unit, so I'm sure the same problem again.
