Keep your home properly hydrated with Honeywell's compact HCM-630 3-gallon-output-per-day humidifier, which is designed for rooms up to 1050 square feet--ideal for living rooms and larger bedrooms. A humidifier is helpful in introducing moisture to your home in order to help you avoid dry skin, chapped lips, dry nasal passages and static electricity as well as keep your wood floors and furnishings in good shape. This QuietCare model has a fan that blows out invisible, moisture-balanced air, and is 30 percent quieter than other models. It has manual controls for simple operation and 3 moisture control settings. The Protec cleaning cartridge helps reduce mineral build-up, while the antimicrobial-treated filter helps prevent the growth and migration of mold, fungus, algae and bacteria on the filter--both contributing to a fresher, cleaner mist and extend filter life. The HCM-630 has a 1-1/4-gallon tank capacity, an adjustable humidistat that maintains desired comfort level, and an auto shut-off function that occurs when desired humidity level is reached or tank is empty. It measures 8 by 13-3/4 by 16 inches (WxHxD), is backed by a 5-year warranty, and uses HAC-504/HAC-504AW replacement filters.

Better than most humidifiers Honeywell humidifier HIpSavvy We bought this to replace one that was purchased six years ago, a model from Honeywell. This model had a two-liter tank and put out if the water runs out. In this respect, this new model has a relatively small tank, maybe a gallon or more. Because the unit is estimated at 3 gallons per day output, would mean giving up a couple of days filling very dry. On our old unit, the tank has a handle on the bottom (where the cap is), so that when filled, it had something to cling to. Not so with the new drive. And to make matters worse, the substance of this new tank is not flat, so that you can not open the tap and expect to stay there. The most troublesome is the lack of an automatic stop device and the light comes on when the water level is too low. Since the reservoir is on the back of the unit, it is difficult to see the water level, this thing will run and run and run without water, dry the filter led to a re-soak again. While stylistically beautiful, is this capability unit a real step down from previous generations of their humidifiers. 47 of 51 people found this review helpful. Barbara A. I emptied all the water, put some 'of vinegar, which ran through, now it works great. Now I put a few drops of vinegar to every two fillings. As for the smell of mold, I use a little 'Sol u Mel in every two or three fills ---- no mold.
