With Binky I decided to get this air filter after you have tried the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze and more Honeywell HEPA filter. At the time of purchase, Sharper Image is the only one with a permanent filter. This was a great advantage for me because most of the cleaning HEPA filters have 2 replace, the largest about the price of the machine. This tower Honeywell permanent filter. There are many demands and against the ionic breeze. I'm still undecided on how it works - but I feel much the same way in my large HEPA filter. I found two of them to control my allergies. Even though I clean it regularly and getting the dust on both, I can not say that the air was very different. However, shortly after the hall for the first time, I could feel the difference. I have not had enough time to say that he made a real hole in my allergies - plus the fact that my allergies are intermittent - but I'm happy that I even notice a thing to note - the description from Amazon says there is an independent ionizer control.
