Fox HONEYWELL: 18155 Silent Comfort Air Purifier "First and foremost, I would say that this is the air purifier I've ever owned, so I can not quite compare with others, so do not even try But I've read. Dozens of Reviews on Honeywell quiet Care 17000 and tagged main complaint is that it is not all peaceful island. Well ... Hope this helps. With respect to the noise level is 18,155 silent comfort this is very quiet and LOW MED. At the top, right next to it is about as loud as our dishwasher about 30 feet away. So it's not bad at all. I can still hear the television and have normal conversations with the family without yelling. I did some of my studies to see how the dust is pulled into the machine and can see that there is dust build up in the pre-filter over time. It seems to work very well. I also noticed a difference in the fresh air smells my sneezing is almost zero, when it works, and that tells me it's really working. It was not an ionizer that is a good thing in my opinion. I learned that these ionizers omit ozone. That inside the home this ozone builds up and can be very harmful to the lungs. I did not like the sound of that so I walked away from the "ionizer" models. It 's very strong, a bit' bulky, but not too heavy to put in other rooms from time to time when I feel the need to move it. It blows cold air, not as a fan and not too direct, within a radius of 360 degrees (also pulls from all directions). The cold air will be pleasant in summer, but not so nice at this time in winter. I want to put next to the bed and you can find a little 'cold, when my covers come off. He sounds very comfortable and relaxing white for snoring. The engine is very smooth and creamy. No crackling or buzzing whatsoever. It seems very well built my only concern is that the return / exhaust NOT blow up. Outword blows on the top / sides and pull the bottom. This is a brilliant design or a serious shortcoming? I wonder ... Only filters the air, again and again, or is like a vortex that draws the dust in the air pushing on it (kind of like a tornado)? In my study I discovered it was a difficult decision for me to do. But that does not really help with my allergies, so I must conclude that it works well. I ordered it directly from Amazon and arrived in 4 days (including weekends) and that was with the Super Saver FREE SHIPPING. Amazon is always fantastic about, so no complaints. GENERAL ... I'm very pleased, although perhaps a little early to give an opinion on life now, Honeywell Silent Comfort 18155 seems a good job and have no complaints. Perfect for allergy sufferers by Jen I bought this air purifier because my children had signs of allergies - sneezing, rubbing eyes, etc. Within one hour after turning on this filter, all in the household ended up sneezing and our children do not play red, itchy eyes more. I am amazed at how well it works. The unit is very quiet. The only thing I dislike is the size. It's huge! One and a half feet wide take up much space. You can not easily hide this thing next to the bank. I'm still trying to figure out which way said that it is not in the way, but still the air.
