With respect to the noise level is 18,155 silent comfort this is very quiet and LOW MED. At the top, right next to it is about as loud as our dishwasher about 30 feet away. So it's not bad at all. I can still hear the television and have normal conversations with the family without yelling. I did some of my studies to see how the dust is pulled into the machine and can see that there is dust build up in the pre-filter over time. It seems to work very well. Unfortunately, in a few weeks to get the new lock, the switch from the humidifier and it does not work, but it has nothing to do with the bit I checked other parts of the wick and do found the price at Amazon was the best price. Better than most humidifiers Honeywell humidifier HIpSavvy We bought this to replace one that was purchased six years ago, a model from Honeywell. This model had a two-liter tank and put out if the water runs out. In this respect, this new model has a relatively small tank, maybe a gallon or more. Because the unit is estimated at 3 gallons per day output, would mean giving up a couple of days filling very dry. On our old unit, the tank has a handle on the bottom (where the cap is), so that when filled, it had something to cling to. Not so with the new drive. And to make matters worse, the substance of this new tank is not flat, so that you can not open the tap and expect to stay there. The most troublesome is the lack of an automatic stop device and the light comes on when the water level is too low. Since the reservoir is on the back of the unit, it is difficult to see the water level, this thing will run and run and run without water, dry the filter led to a re-soak again. The unit is fan sucks air through the filter wick and blows the warm air from the tip. A few months ago, my youngest daughter had a cold and cough at the same time as my eldest son went back to half now. We do not have such problems (although often not in use, we forget to take the water ... and water is recommended to be) make the area wet enough (windows are wet in the morning) the best for cold / cough in Instead of dry air. Yes, it does leave a lot of noise when running, but no problems for my two girls to feel or stay home. And yes, we had the first time we used it as the water problem there is not enough right again. But after that I never had a problem again ... With Binky I decided to get this air filter after you have tried the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze and more Honeywell HEPA filter. At the time of purchase, Sharper Image is the only one with a permanent filter. This was a great advantage for me because most of the cleaning HEPA filters have 2 replace, the largest about the price of the machine. This tower Honeywell permanent filter. There are many demands and against the ionic breeze. I'm still undecided on how it works - but I feel much the same way in my large HEPA filter. I found two of them to control my allergies. Even though I clean it regularly and getting the dust on both, I can not say that the air was very different. However, shortly after the hall for the first time, I could feel the difference. I have not had enough time to say that he made a real hole in my allergies - plus the fact that my allergies are intermittent - but I'm happy that I even notice a thing to note - the description from Amazon says there is an independent ionizer control.
