Buy it, enjoy it ... it works great plus is cute. Watch the video here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R36GZF9N1KWIF3 A great little humidifier. Well worth the money for its functionality ... the cute appearance is a bonus. It is not really serious moisture and cranks out loud. Quiet, easy to use, and so gosh darn cute! I got the penguin humidifier a week ago after reading several brands, some expensive heat, filter them, great, etc. And I read reports on them to break or leak on this one, and in essence there were some complaints about just about every brand there - always a few problems. So for the $ 30 to these costs which is what I needed (And the fact that it is ridiculously adorable!): Something that was not expensive, not too big and bulky, smaller reservoir, the more water passing through them (and less water always sit ookey) and would add humidity where it was. It was released almost nonstop for a week, less filling times or when we were out and it worked perfectly in the tank body even when running high, has lasted at least 16 hours. I had no problems with white dust on everything like my old-fashioned gigantic noisy (I use tap water) and do not spray the water retreats into the fog is. It's certainly made a difference running at night in the bedroom - no noses and throats feeling 'dry as dust' in the AM. Penguin has a small footprint, about 9 inches in diameter and 12.75 "high. It runs almost silently, but he makes noises and dripping sounds really like our tabletop fountain. It sa nice sound during the day, but went on me during the night, I have not used the sound and I kept thinking that it lost when it was not. So now I've been riding for a while 'before you go to bed and sleep much better about everything. Sights look out for themselves ... the opening of the reservoir, where you fill in, there is a screw on cap with a valve spring (like what is on the bottom of your coffee maker basket) A silicone gasket that fits on top to cover. Our O-ring was in the hole, and because it was clear-ish could be easily lost. The seal cap to leak if not properly seated and the cover should be tightened snuggly. As supplemented and corrected (there is even a little handle to carry it through) only drain a little out of the valve spring. Make sure nothing is blocking the valve spring, pushing (for filling) and the cover is not folded. Use cold water in the tank, and if you wait for the boiled water at room temperature before use. Hot water can cause this plastic to crackle and safe to crack. The body must sit directly on the "butt" or it can dribble to the side a bit. We had absolutely no problem with this baby, and if I do not update my post. It has a beautiful bosom on-off switch on his "left buttock" It's a dial on the front (I'll call belly button) to adjust the amount of fog, even at the top runs. The mist dial does not seem to affect the sound of the fountain at all, that is to say the least fog does not diminish its gurgle. A great little design and it does the job! silent, efficient and cute! This frog humidifier is wonderful. I'm so glad I finally decided to get one after reading reviews on this since last winter. Contrary to this picture, actual product is truly a green Granny Smith apple, or some might call it lime green. PROS-quiet-no expensive filter required. (My Holmes humidifier requires a new $ 13 filter about every 6 weeks)-shuts off when there is a lack of easy water refill the water simple and easy to use, cute! CONS-small green light illuminates when the humidifier is turned on and I persoanlly as a dark room at night. I just shoot a brown paper on it and the problem is solved. But it can also be a nightlight for a child's room on a nightstand or some sort of elevated surface. Some people may not have sufficient space to spare. -It can.
